Dollar Tree uses rotacart deliveries to service 600+ stores from its DC in West Memphis, Arkansas.

Mike-Creedon-300x300In the midst of tremendous growth, Dollar Tree remains committed to its mission: “Giving our customers extreme value at low prices.” As part of its strategy to continue to support this mission, the discount retailer is servicing more than 600 Dollar Tree and combo stores with rotacart deliveries from its distribution center in West Memphis, Arkansas, reported COO Mike Creedon on a Q2 earnings call. Dollar Tree is a member of the Food Shippers of America (FSA).

The discount retailer also is using the technology to deliver to roughly 300 stores from its distribution center in Chesapeake, Virginia, continued COO Mike Creedon told analysts.

By the end of 2025, Dollar Tree expects to provide rotacart deliveries from four distribution centers to more than 2,000 stores, including an additional 150 from the West Memphis facility. Dollar Tree began rolling out rotacarts in 2023 as part of its strategy to streamline deliveries and reduce unloading times.

Dollar Tree also is focused on efficiencies elsewhere in its supply chain. As far as modernization efforts, the discount retailer’s new warehouse management system (WMS) went live at its first two distribution centers with two more slated for early 2025.

In addition, Dollar Tree is preparing for President Joe Biden’s recently finalized tariffs on China-made goods.

According to Creedon: “In the event of any meaningful change to the current tariff regime, we have long-standing contingency plans to diversify our supply chain in a timely and cost-effective manner. We also have the flexibility to adjust product specs and price points to address any changes in the market.”
